Relay is hiring multiple Instructional Fellows in NYC and Newark for the 2012-2013 school year. Partnered with Relay Assistant Professors, Fellows will gain invaluable experience supporting groups of full-time classroom teachers through the two-year program. The Relay Graduate School of Education now trains teachers on both sides of the Hudson River. Sixty-nine enrolled teachers convened for a day of orientation and community-building at North Star Academy’s Clinton Hill Campus, marking the launch of RGSE’s second campus and ushering in a new approach to teacher training in New Jersey. Relay is at the front of the national effort to reform teacher performance assessments. Recently, 140 institutions formed a consortium dedicated to doing a better job of assessing teachers. This consortium plans to develop a measurement system similar to the one Relay uses. Read more.
